Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, posted the most exciting news for WhatsApp users on Facebook on Monday. In the announcement, he mentioned that WhatsApp now allows users to edit messages, one of the most requested features.
Now you can make changes to the sent messages on WhatsApp on Android and iOS smartphones within fifteen minutes of sending. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg made the announcement on Facebook stating the following:
“You can now edit your WhatsApp messages up to 15 mins after they’re sent! ”
This is one of the most often requested features, and it is now accessible to WhatsApp users everywhere.
Keep in mind that you have 15 minutes to update a message before you can no longer edit it on WhatsApp. Both individual and group chats on WhatsApp support the usage of the edit feature. Additionally, editing a message makes it clear that it has been edited.
Select the three dots in the upper right corner of a recent text that you sent to a particular contact or group by long-pressing on it, then select “Edit.”
After introducing the feature of Chat Lock, this is yet another surprise feature that has been rolled out. This news was also shared on the Twitter handle of WhatsApp.
Make sure you are running the most recent version of WhatsApp in order to use the edit message feature. If not, update it from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The update may take a few more days to reach your smartphone because it is being rolled out in stages.
