Hersha Parady Death Due To ‘Meningioma’ Is Explored As GoFundMe Raises Money

‘Little House on the Prairie’ lead actress Hersha Parady passed away at the age of 78 on 23rd August. Her son Jonathan Peverall said that his mother was struggling for a long time with a tumor in her brain. In the past, the actress had been diagnosed with meningioma which is a tumor that grows in the brain membranes.
The membrane that is found around the brain as well as the spinal cord is called the Meninges. Meningioma is a common tumor that can squeeze or compress the brain and vessels and nerves around the brain.
A GoFundMe page was started by Parady’s son Jonathon to help her with medical expenses. The page was able to raise more than 20,000 dollars for the cause. Hersha’s GoFundMe description says that meningioma had affected the actress’ strength, memory, and personality.
It also mentions that the actress was bedridden due to this disease and did not have the ability to perform basic activities daily.
The page description says, “Upon seeing her condition during a recent visit to her home in Van Nuys, we decided to move her from Los Angeles to live with me and my family in Virginia, and while we are working to ensure she gets the medical help she needs, the costs associated with her care are mounting.”
Memory loss, sensory and personality changes, and language difficulty are a few complications associated with people with Meningioma. Also, headache, memory loss, and vision changes are some symptoms associated with Meningioma.
The ‘Little House on the Prairie’ in their official Facebook page posted condolences on the actress’ death saying how the actress brought the character of Alice Garvey to life. Further adding, “Our hearts go out to her family, friends, and fans during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Hersha Parady. You will be deeply missed.”Actress Melissa E. Gilbert on Facebook posted a picture of Parady with a caption on how great of an experience she had working with the star.
