Trump declares end of Gaza war

We all have seen that Donald Trump has declared that both parties in the conflict, including Hamas and Israel, have agreed to comply with Donald Trump’s 20-point peace plan. Moreover, it has been a month since Trump declared the end of the Gaza war. However, the world has already witnessed sporadic incidents of conflict in the region.

Therefore, this  raises multiple questions in the minds of people about the longevity of the ceasefire. However, as Trump declares end of  Gaza war , the world cherishes the course of events that followed it.

We have witnessed the release of the Israeli hostages and the Palestinian prisoners of war at the same time. Even though the buildings and all the infrastructure in Palestine are now in ruins, a massive number of Palestinians returned to their homes.

Piers Morgan invited John Mearsheimer to his show “Uncensored”.  John Mearsheimer is one of the most renowned scholars of International relations.

He also serves as a professor for the discipline. The conversation, moreover, revolved around the ceasefire and its longevity.

What Was The Conversation About? And What Did Professor John Mearsheimer  Say About The Ceasefire?

Several things were discussed on the show. Moreover, the professor explained his views on various topics, including the longevity of the Ceasefire, the contributions of President Donald Trump, and, most importantly, the Palestinians and their right to self-determination.

However, here is a simple breakdown of the occurrences followed by the course of events.

1. What Is Professor John Mearsheimer’s Analysis Of The Ceasefire?

Professor John Mearsheimer expresses his joy at seeing the hostages of Israel and the Palestinian prisoners released. He also discussed President Trump’s performance and called him one of “the greatest showmen of all time.”

Moreover, he thinks that President Trump’s putting up a “rock ‘n’ roll” show in front of any audience should not be underestimated.

2. Will The World  Get A Genuine Standing Peace Agreement? Will There Be A Permanent Ceasefire?

The professor, moreover, raised two relevant questions. Will the peace deal bring a permanent ceasefire, and will there be a genuine peace agreement at the end of the process?

However, Professor John Mearsheimer answers this by himself. He suggests that there were zero chances of having an actual peace agreement. He also suggests that the ceasefire should “not hold good”.

The professor thinks that soon the ceasefire will break and the two nations will be back in conflict. John Mearsheimer justifies his point through a couple of points. The Israelis are bent on eliminating Hamas. However, the professor believes that it has not been achieved yet.

On the other hand, the professor also highlights the popular Israeli ambitions of driving the Palestinians out of Gaza. Moreover, the professor also reminded us about the ceasefire that happened right before Donald Trump took office.

Hence, he talked about the January to March 2025 ceasefire. The Israelis received atleast

Thirty-three hostages were released after that ceasefire. However, the Israelis broke the ceasefire right after that.

Professor  John Mearsheimer believes that will be the case this time as well.

3. What Will Be The Political Horizon? Who Is Going To Run Gaza?

The host of the show, Piers Morgan, asked the guest about the far-right elements within the Israeli government.

Piers Morgan raised questions about the ambitions of the far-right elements within the Israeli Government, who have now considered their mission to do ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.

However, Piers Morgan also highlighted that the Palestinians were returning to their home.

The professor says it feels good to see the Palestinians returning to their homes.

But he also reminds us that the Palestinians will not have the right to self-determination. Moreover, this will happen as Gaza will not have the right to self-determination.

Therefore, Gaza will be mostly governed by people like Tony Blair and Donald Trump.

Moreover, the surrounding Arab nations around Gaza will also play a crucial role.

However, the Palestinians in Gaza will not have any right to self-determination.

Moreover, the professor believes that there will be no two-state solution. Thus, the fight will just “go on and on”.

4. Will There Be A Proper State Solution?

The professor believes that most Israelis do not really believe in a two-state solution. Moreover, he thinks only a handful of people in Israel should support the two-state solution.

Moreover, the concept of Greater Israel is strongly wired in the idea of Zionism. Thus, the majority of the Israelis want full control of the West Bank and Gaza.

Hence, the majority of the armed conflicts between Israel and Palestine have caused a lot of Ethnic cleansing in the Palestinian territories.

What Is The Big Jar Take On Trump Declares End of  Gaza war?

President Trump has declared end of war in Gaza. However, this does not change the fate of the Palestinians.

The threat to Palestinian sovereignty remains. A considerable number of countries across the world have today recognized Palestine as a state. However, the Palestinians have no right to self-determination or to run their nation.

The involvement of people like Tony Blair and others creates further problems. Hence, this shows that the world is still in its colonial hangover

We at Big Jar News believe that the Two-State solution should serve as the overall consensus. Moreover, the peace deal does not allow people to arrive at any relevant conclusion so far.
