Prime Minister Modi was on his Bhutan Tour when the information reached him. The Prime Minister expressed his sorrow and condolences to the families who were suffering from the tragedy. He stated that he had held late-night talks with all concerned officials and agencies investigating the blast near the Delhi Red Fort.
He also assured people that the agencies will definitely investigate and identify those behind these attacks. Thus, the minds behind the attack will not be spared by India.
While he gave the entire speech in Hindi in the end, he switches to English and says it out loud and clear, that “ all those who are responsible will be brought to justice.”

A Hyundai i20 car played a major role in the blast. The investigating agencies have determined that the car was last spotted in Faridabad, Haryana.
The city of Faridabad borders Delhi. Moreover, the car entered the capital 45 minutes after it was seen in Faridabad.
The car enters the parking area of the Red Fort around 3:20 PM and remains parked there for at least 3 hours. However, the vehicle leaves the parking area around 6:22. Thus, nearly around seven, the Blast Near Delhi Red Fort took place.
2. Who Was Driving The Car? Who Is The Primary Suspect In The Blast Near Delhi Red Fort?
The agencies involved in the investigation have suspected a doctor named Umar Mohammad from Pulwama. However, the investigating agencies and the police are not certain who was driving the car.
Moreover, the investigating agencies have collected samples from the car and the blast site, and are also collecting samples from the Doctor’s house.
The agencies should conclude once they can match the results. Thus, the investigators have decided to use DNA sampling.

The investigators have also found traces of a highly flammable chemical. The chemical is called ammonium nitrate. Moreover, ammonium nitrate does not blast on its own. However, the chemical becomes highly explosive when it is mixed with fuel oil.
The police found the same chemical in a terror module in Faridabad. The module is allegedly linked to the Jaish, a UN-designated terror group that has carried out several attacks in parts of Jammu & Kashmir and also in the rest of India.
However, the investigators have not yet revealed the motive behind the terror attacks. The investigators have filed a case under the UAPA ( The Unlawful Activities Prevention Act)

Thus, this kind of attack around the capital after almost two decades raises several questions.
