Upcoming Movies 2025: Block These Dates!

I have been anticipating many of these movies that I am going to share with you. Considering there are several of these movies you are waiting for too. I mean people in their 30s, aren’t you excited about Final Destination Bloodlines releasing 16^th May 2025? 

Or how about Jurassic World Rebirth with one of the coolest casts including Scarlett Johannson, Rupert Friend, and Jonathan Bailey releasing on 2nd July 2025? Well, apart from these amazing franchise resurrections, there are so many more!  

Why don’t we talk about the upcoming movies in 2025 that will make your day? It will also help you plan your movie dates accordingly.  

1. Captain America: Brave New World

Set to be released on 14th February 2025, it is a movie Marvel fans are waiting loyally for! We see a new Captain America, Sam Wilson, portrayed by Anthony Mackie. The trailer seems promising with a great music score!  

But can Mackie fill in the shoes of Captain Steve Rogers, both in movies and Chris Evans in real life? Yet do we want him to replace someone, or will it be better for something original? Found himself in the middle of an international crisis, how does the new Captain deal with it?  

Have you started booking your tickets yet? It is almost here. With a hint of the Black Widow, do we also get to see any other Avengers?   

Bonus: Daredevil: Born Again

If you are a Marvel fan, then you are eagerly waiting for the Devil to come back again, aren’t you? Well, I am a huge Daredevil fan, so I wanted to put a word in for you. The series is coming on 4th March 2025 on Disney+.  

You cannot miss the mind games between Matt Murdock, AKA the daredevil, and the Kingpin, now the Mayor of the city. Along with brutal action, there comes another eye candy, Frank Castle.   

Yes, you heard it right, Jon Bernthal will be a part of the cast. Are we ready Marvel fans?  

2. The Conjuring: Last Rites

It’s one of the best franchises in Horror currently and you cannot miss it! The fourth movie in the Conjuring franchise, Last Rites, marks the end of the main storyline with Ed and Lorraine Warren, paranormal investigators taking on different cases.  

Set for a release on 5^th September 2025, the paranormal movie is about a terrifying case. The husband-and-wife investigators will confront and deal with mysterious supernatural entities one last time!  

If you are a fan of this franchise, you should not miss it, especially with the amazing performances by Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson. Other actors in this movie are Taissa Farmiga, Shannon Kook, Ben Hardy, and Mia Tomlinson!  

3. Mission Impossible – The Final Reckoning

Yes, I am a Tom Cruise Fan! Yes, I am a Mission Impossible Fan! I started watching movies when I was 10 years old and never stopped. So, isn’t it obvious that I will demand you to watch the movie “one last time”!  

The expected release date for the final movie of the popular franchise is 23rd May 2025 and it will not disappoint. If you have not watched the previous movie, Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1, you must stay updated for this one.  

Cruise has never disappointed when it came to outdoing himself in every movie when performing his action stunts! Neither will he in this one especially when there is an underwater scene (Check trailer).  

4. Superman

Are you ready to get over Henry Cavill as Superman yet? Well, I don’t know about you, but the world is. Or is it? We will see that on 11 July 2025, when the new Superman movie starring David Corenswet as Superman is released.  

The trailer is impressive with a hint of emotional baggage we know Clark Kent carries! The father angle might be explored a bit more along with the arch nemesis of Clark Kent, finally getting his deserved recognition. Nicholas Hoult plays the role of the supervillain!  

There are some other renowned faces such as Nathan Fillion of Castle fame and Milly Alcock. Lois Lane is portrayed by Rachel Brosnahan, and the chemistry in the trailer seems good, we need to watch the movie to make certain though! After all, they have got some big shoes to fill!  

5. Avatar 3: Fire and Ash

James Cameron brings knowledge, beauty, and action together and Avatar as a franchise is no different. With the leading man, Sam Worthington as Jake Sully, and his partner, the beautiful Neytiri, portrayed by Zoe Saldana, here is the third movie in the franchise, Fire and Ash!  

According to the first look of the movie, the landscape is completely opposite to the first two movies. The lush green forests, trees, water, animals, and flowers look to prosperity while fire will rule this movie probably releasing on 19^th December 2025.  

You will see the enemy, Miles Quaritch, beautifully portrayed by Stephen Lang, and death, an imminent part of the movie. We finished the second movie on a death, Jake losing his child! We will get to see the impact in this movie, so get ready with tissues in your hand!  

6. Ballerina

If you are a John Wick fan, you cannot miss this one. With the beautiful Ana de Armas killing men left right and center, you cannot blink your eyes! The story is about the character portrayed by Armas whose father was killed.  

She trains with the Ruska Roma organization to become an assassin then, goes out to seek revenge for her father’s death. Of course, there will be several appearances including Keanu Reeves AKA John Wick.  

It was Winston Scott who guided Eve Macarro, just a teen when her father died. So, rest assured, Ian McShane will be there! How does it feel to have one of the coolest upcoming movies 2025! When you are planning a day alone and looking for self-care ideas, watching this movie can actually help. 

7. How to Train Your Dragon 4

13th June 2025 is the day when another beloved franchise has its movie coming out in theaters. The plot does have similarities where an ancient threat has the power to endanger both dragons and Vikings alike!  

However, why do we crave more? Well, the relationship between Hiccup, an extraordinary but inventive Viking, and a Night Fury Dragon is the talk of the town. We are suckers for love and while these both love each other; they also make each other powerful enough to protect their clans.  

Well, have you heard of a soppier request to watch a movie? If not, you know what to do. Watching this movie can be one of the ways when you are traveling with kids tips to help you out.  So, stay tuned for one of these upcoming movies 2025! 

8. Now You See Me 3

If you are someone like me who was impressed and shocked when you first watched Now You See Me, then I am sure you are equally excited! Apparently, the overarching theme of the new movie is about the new generation and the old generation coming together.  

Slated for 14th November 2025, there is still a lot of mystery surrounding the movie. Another persistent theme of the movie is the Four Horsemen, the four actors Jesse Eisenberg, Dave Franco, Mark Ruffalo, and Woody Harrelson will be returning for the movie.  

Isla Fisher will be returning for this movie even though she was not part of the second one. Did you know that Rosamund Pike of Gone Girl fame will be playing a pivotal role in the movie? I can’t wait for her to add her spunk to this franchise.  

9. Bonus: Dark Nuns

Already released on 7th February 2025, this South Korean Movie has two very familiar faces, Song Hye-Kyo and Jeon Yeo-been in the leads. You will love the simplicity with which the horror genre has been explored without putting the usual tropes of fear.  

Instead, Exorcism as a subject matter has been defined and established quite seriously. The struggle of two nuns to free a young boy of evil spirits might seem like a common plot but the cinematography and plot will win your heart!  

If you are a horror movie enthusiast, you must check this movie out! It has English subtitles, so you won’t have any problem understanding it.
